Rick is well known for his high-caliber fabrication,
metalworking, and painting skills, and for the
last decade has earned several Gold awards at
the Mopar Nationals OE-Certified level for his
meticulous Mopar restorations. Rick's component
restoration, body and paint work, and turn-key
restorations have repeatedly been featured in
many Mopar magazines over the years.
Rick
painted his first car, a '67 'Cuda, at the age
of 15. He continued with his newfound passion,
while also selling auto body supplies. By 1978,
his sideline work had grown to the point that
he made the jump to restorations as a full-time
business. Over the years he has completed a
variety of projects that include street rods
and restorations of many different makes and
eras, developing an in-depth knowledge base
and a diverse set of skills. He has a special
talent for finding ways to do things which others
say can't be done.
RestoRick's
experience and expertise was exactly what Gus
and Juan Escalante sought when looking for the
place to restore their father's treasured car.
